Holy Communion Photoshoot

We put all our energy and love into your photos. This is how we usually book a Family Photoshoot for Holy Communion, Confirmation or Graduation:

Timeline:

8-3 Months before: We discuss over the phone or on a coffee about locations available, timings and general shooting methods. If you like our work and style, you book during this time by sending a deposit.

3-1 Months before: We will be in regular communication to make sure nothing has changed, and furthe rexplain our photoshoot philosophy.

2 Weeks leading to photoshoot: We recommend you start slowly preparing and hyping your kids for this day. So they can co-operate better on the day and the photos turn out better.

5 Days before: - The photographer will contact you one last time to make sure everything is in place.

Within 48 hours after the photoshoot: You will receive a small sneak peek from the photographer

Within 4 Weeks after the photoshoot: You will receive all the good photos, edited in our vibrant style online. In a password protected gallery, you will be able to download the High-Res Photos without Logos or Upgrade Fees.

We always recommend making sure that the photoshoot is finished 45mins before the Holy communion mass starts. So you can have ample time to get to the church. We recommend the photoshoot starts the latest an hour and a half before your mass.

If your photosohot is after the mass, we recommend scheduling the photoshoot 2 hours and 15 mins after the mass starts as to allow for photos at the church. Please consult your photographer for more guidance.

As a general rule, we always recommend avoiding the high noon as there is a lot of sun and it is uncomfortable for you.

As soon as you know the date and mass, we recommend to start booking your vendors as soon as possible. We suggest that you prioritise Hair, Makeup and Photographer as they are the most sought after vendors. And therefore it is better to book your date in before.

We tend to fully book a months leading to a Holy Communion Season - so do not leave it for the last minute! Get in touch today.

Here are some props people tend to bring to their Holy Communion Photoshoots:

• Rosary Beads (Preferably White)
• Praying Book or Small Bible
• A Candle with Flower (Usually given by the church)
• A Black Chalkboard (so you can write on it)

We offer some of these props on request during.

Our normal photoshoot takes around 30-40 minutes.

If you have twins, or a large extended family and would like them to tag along to the shoot, we suggest you opt for the upgrade option of an extra 30minutes.

It's always best to consult your photographer.

For wardrobe choice, we always say this: "Keep It Simple & Sweet". A beautiful dress in real life will not always look excellent in-camera. Even if it does look good on camera, it may distract from the subject of the photoshoot (you).

We recommend an outfit with few colours, no more than three different colours which complement each other well.

Do not wear:

• Shocking colours
• Patterned clothes, especially lines, striped and checkered designs. These designs will mess up the photo and make it look weird.
• Uncomfortable clothes

Do wear:

• Casual-formal outfits unless your event requires otherwise
• Comfortable clothes, especially footwear

As a general tip, choose an outfit that does not steal attention from your face. What you wear in a photo should not distract away from the main subject of it: you and your loved ones.
